Great stay on the Hudson
I recently had a wonderful 5-night stay at a hotel located on the Hudson River. The room I stayed in was spotless and well-maintained throughout my visit. It was a corner room on the fifth floor, offering a bright and comfortable space with a beautiful view of the river. The bathroom was spacious with plenty of counter space. Despite there being three weddings at the hotel during my stay, I was pleasantly surprised that I wasn't bothered by any noise. While there is a train under the hotel, it didn't pose any difficulties for a good night's sleep. The hotel also had a great main restaurant, a bistro, and a casual bar with an outside deck. it was a truly great experience.

There is great heritage here in this old hotel, and the lobby are is truly magnificent with lots of stone work and old photos from the past - especially of former generals etc. who have stayed there. If you have a military back ground, as I do, it is outstanding. If not, its is still a great place to stay and good food and great hospitality. The price is fair for the area, and the location - right inside the main gate to the usma at West Point, is perfect for area tourists and visitors.
We happened to have a room best to the vending machines, which gave off a disturbing noise all night long that mace it difficult to sleep. Other than that, the rooms seemed well maintained considering that this hotel is nearly 100 years old....

The restaurant was very good.
It was very cold in the room and the main areas. The wind came through the windows and was not blocked by drapes. There were only shades on the windows.
